North London club Tottenham Hotspur are set to sign Napoli center-back Kalidou Koulibaly, claiming there is a strong connection between the player’s agent and Daniel Levy.
The 28 year old has become one of the best central defenders in European football as he continues to shine for Napoli.
The Senegal international has even helped Napoli remain unbeaten in the Champions League this season.
Spurs might not be alone in their pursuit of Koulibaly. French outlet Foot Mercato claim Newcastle are interested in the £70million-rated defender and have offered £200,000-a-week.
Reports claims Koulibaly is an option for Tottenham this summer and that his agents are close to Levy.
Everton are keen on Koulibaly, and is confident the former Genk star will leave Napoli this summer.
With Jan Vertonghen expected to leave the club this summer given his contract expires in June, and Tottenham will need to replace the Belgian.
